Having grown up on Western films and television programs, Tom Ford developed a love of the stunts and special effects that made those movies so appealing. He first began a firearms business, where he directed his own unique commercials, and soon had a stunt troop on the side that performed for major resort hotels as well as educational skits for schools. When the opportunity to break into movie effects presented itself, he seized it and made a name for himself with his innovative and safe explosions, his creative effects and his willingness to work harder than anyone else.

With the growing threat of terrorism, Tom Ford saw a need for clear and informative education to assist those on our front lines. He began to apply his extensive knowledge of fire and explosives to training firefighters and anti-terrorist squads.
